The brief

Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Authority has identified that the rescue boats used for training require immediate replacement.

The Authority requires one (1) inflatable rescue boat between 3.8m & 4.2m in length and one (1) 4.7m inflatable rescue boat.

The rescue boats for training shall • be suitable and sufficiently robust to undertake prolonged and extensive training activities • be capable of meeting the requirements of the DEFRA Flood Rescue Concept of Operations • comply with the relevant clauses in the International Life-Saving Appliance Code 1998, Recreational Craft Regulations 2017 (Class C) and ISO 6185:2014 Inflatable boats - Part 3: Boats with a hull length less than 8 m with a motor rating of 15 kW and greater.

Leisure craft will not be considered.

The tender has been split into Lots.

Lot 1 of the ITT relates to the an inflatable rescue boat between 3.8m and 4.2m in length and Lot 2 relates to the 4.7m inflatable rescue boat.

Bidders may submit tenders for one or both Lots.
