Brief Description of Requirement The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS); Office for Product Safety and Standards is the appointed market surveillance authority, responsible for enforcing the Eco-design and Energy Labelling Regulations within the UK.
Suppliers are strongly encouraged to read the text at the following link in order to gain a full understanding of the role of the enforcement services with Government: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/national-regulation-enforcement-services BEIS will carry out market surveillance to determine the current levels of compliance in the household tumble drier-sector within the UK, in line with Eco-design and Energy Labelling requirements.
