Furniture Reuse Development Service
Hampshire County Council is seeking to engage organisations in identifying options for the future commissioning and provision of a holistic and joined up service, that can realise the social and economic value of waste through social enterprise and reuse.
Working with local reuse organisations and social welfare providers across Hampshire will be integral to the new service.
We envisage this innovative new service will enable and support co-ordination of the provision of affordable furniture and other suitable household items through reuse and repair to ensure demand and supply needs are met across Hampshire's local communities including supporting individuals and families in need.
It will assist reuse organisations to increase their turnover by opening up new referral routes, forging new partnerships and source new stock which will support business development and communications activities.
We would like to invite relevant organisations with a strong track record in this area, to an information event which will give further details to prospective tenderers.
There will also be the opportunity to input into and influence the structure of the new service delivery model and articulate what success will look like for the service.
The event will be held on 19th July 2017, 2 - 4pm at the Winchester Discovery Centre, Jewry Street, and will include a range of local and national speakers giving context for the new service, as well as technical information and guidance for prospective tenderers.
Following an opportunity to hear your views on the proposed new service, including perceived potential challenges and opportunities, we will finish with a networking session and refreshments.
