The brief

This is a requirement for annual servicing and breakdown cover for the Ling Dynamic Systems, Brüel & Kjær, V721 shaker and power amplifier.

The Ling Dynamic Systems, Brüel & Kjær, V721 shaker, power amplifier and associated equipment is situated within 1710 Naval Air Squadron, HM Naval Base, Portsmouth.

This equipment assists in the testing of service modification structures prior to embodiment into operational aircraft.

Such structures are subjected to various resonance vibrations from the aircraft which can effect the aircraft structure and using this equipment stresses/forces can be identified and design changes made before installation.

The scope of work includes: 1 x annual on-site service (to include strip, inspect and repair to the equipment as necessary).

Replacement of filters and faulty/damaged parts as required.

Undertake and complete a functional test of whole system and on completion produce a certificate to ensure the equipment is in date and safe to use.

Provision of all spares in support of the equipment function if required.

Automatic booking of annual service recall 10 working days prior to service date expiry.

To provide a 48 hour telephone call-back response including back-up on-site visits and emergency call out for breakdown/repairs if required.

Provision of software updates/upgrades as necessary.

To meet Quality Standard BS EN ISO 9001:2008 or equivalent as a minimum.
