Hertfordshire County Council, hereafter referred to as the Council, recognized the need for additional local provision for Children and Young People (C&YP) with autism, learning difficulties and / or challenging behaviour in Hertfordshire so that they can continue to live and receive their education near to their families and the local community.

Wynchlands Crescent will enable C&YP with autism to continue access local special school placements and is an alternative to residential out of county placements.

The core Contract period will be for a period of five years, with the option to extend for a further period of up to two years at 12 month intervals.

The annual value is £706,000.

Value for total Contract period is £4,942,000.

The procurement followed the Light Touch regime principles in accordance with Public Contracts Regulations 2015.

TUPE will apply at the end of the Contract.
