I T Managed Services
This is a contract result notice, not an open opportunity. Details from the official award data.
This sits in the upper-middle of the IT Services band — a substantial contract for the sector. Based on 36,449 valued IT Services tenders in our corpus.
GWE Business West Ltd is seeking to appoint a provider to deliver a corporate IT Solution.
The contract will be awarded for a period of three years commencing early January 2017, with a possible extension for a further two years.
GWE Business West Ltd (Business West) restructured its corporate IT provision in November 2011.
The ‘on-premise’ system was replaced by a hosted system managed by a third party supplier.
Under the new arrangements the third party supplier provided the data communications network, the hosting environment and managed the servers to Operating System (OS) level.
The in-house IT technicians managed and supported the various applications used by Business West and the equipment issued to users.
The service was retendered in 2012 and secured for a further period by the same supplier.
The service is now due to be retendered.
Developments in technology and a desire to work flexibly and cost-efficiently provide ‘drivers’ to explore ways in which Managed Services can deliver a more robust, cost effective and future proof IT solution for Business West.
Proposals should address our requirement which contains three elements; Service Management, Infrastructure Management and Desktop Management.
We are interested in Managed Service options for three and five years.
The maximum Budget for the IT Solution is £384,000 over the Initial Term (three years), increasing to £640,000 should we extend the agreement for two extension periods (two years).
These amounts exclude VAT.
The contract will be reviewed and subject to a performance review on a quarterly basis.
We are seeking a proposition that is billed monthly with a minimum term of one month.
The monthly charge will be calculated on the number of registered active users from Business West who can access the service taken from the environment specific Active Directory.
We welcome applicants to submit a tender, details of which can be obtained from Paul Coopey at 'paul.coopey@businesswest.co.uk'
