The service will need to closely align with, and support the future development of, existing health and social care services that also support independent living in the community such as health and social care reablement, rapid response, hospital at home and personal care and community based support.
The service will support both adults and children and young people.
The contract will span up to 7 years (5 years with a possible 1 plus 1 year extension), to allow a relationship to be built with the provider over the medium term to deliver ever more efficient services and to allow for innovation and creativity.
Leicester City Council directly manages a staffed and resourced ICES Support Service which will monitor the performance of the services delivered under the Contract and on behalf of partners.
