THIS IS A CONTRACT AWARD NOTICE.

This RFQ for Quotation (RFQ) is for the Provision of a Laundry Service under the Crown Commercial Services Framework for the Provision of Laundry and Linen Services Framework Agreement RM6154, Lot 1b: Standard Wash Linen and Laundry Services.

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Cheshire (PCC) is the contracting authority for the provision of this service.

The Laundry Service provides mandatory Custody Services which include the processing (wash and finish) and transportation (collection and return) of items which are owned by Cheshire Constabulary.

Items to be laundered are primarily from the three Custody Suites, and any other departments requiring this service on an ad-hoc basis.

The Laundry Service is also available for departments such as forensics (laboratory coats), vehicle management (T-shirts, boiler suits etc.,) and student accommodation (bedding, towels etc.,).

It is the intention to award the new contract for a period of two [2] years with the option to extend for a further two [2] years in two [2] periods of twelve [12] months.
