LB Newham - Domestic and Sexual Violence Service (excluding Refuge Provision)
The London Borough of Newham wishes to re-procure its Domestic and Sexual Violence Support Services (excluding Refuge Provision).
We are intending to hold a marketplace event on the 15th March 2018 in order to engage with partners from across the sector, present our commissioning intentions, seek feedback and answer questions related to the process.
The programme will deliver one Domestic and Sexual Violence Service (excluding Refuge Provision) with a single point of contact and referral route, available to any adult victim of any gender 16 years and over.
The service will co-locate in partner agencies to improve access to earlier support and protection for victims and to ensure contacts are capitalised upon.
The service provision will incorporate: - low to medium DSV risk assessment and support, - a borough 24/7 hour DSV helpline, - FGM support: identifying and targeting women who have undergone FGM to raise awareness of risks (emotional and physical) and aim to prevent FGM in their daughters and female relatives, - Honour Based Violence (HBV) and Forced Marriage (FM): supporting those who have been or at risk of HBV or forced marriage, - Exiting Sex Work & Prostitution: supporting those who are engaged in sex work to be healthier, safer and to exit the industry, - Sexual Exploitation and Trafficking: working closely with MPS to support anyone who may be or has been trafficked into the borough for the purpose of sexual slavery and commercial sexual exploitation.
