Worcester City Council were inviting bids for the provision of a comprehensive lift servicing and maintenance programme across a range of council-owned properties.
This contract covers both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs, ensuring all lifts remain safe, reliable, and compliant with statutory requirements, including LOLER and PUWER regulations.
The successful contractor will be responsible for: Routine servicing: Passenger lifts - monthly Platform lifts and wheelchair stair risers - quarterly Dumb waiter lifts - quarterly Emergency call-out service: 24/7, 365-day coverage with a 4-hour response time (1 hour for trapped persons).
Compliance and reporting: Detailed inspection reports, adherence to British and EU standards, and maintaining accurate service records.
Sites included: Key council buildings such as The Guildhall, The Commandery, St.
Martin's Gate Car Park, and the City Art Gallery & Museum.
The contract will run from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2028, with options to extend for up to three additional years.
