Litter Composition Survey to help establish the baseline for the National Litter Strategy
This is a contract result notice, not an open opportunity. Details from the official award data.
This sits below the typical range for IT Services contracts — a smaller, more accessible award. Based on 36,449 valued IT Services tenders in our corpus.
The objective of this survey is to provide counts of litter types across a range of land use types in England in early 2017.
The data will be used to help measure the 'baseline' for the National Litter Strategy by supplementing data from other sources, particularly citizen science data via mobile phone apps and voluntary litter surveys.
Whilst these data sources are very valuable, there are some data gaps, eg rural areas and certain urban areas.
The litter composition survey will play a very important role in helping to fill these gaps.
