"Lancashire County Council (the Authority/Client) is working in partnership with Burnley Borough Council on the Town 2 Turf Scheme.
Through the 'Levelling Up' fund, Burnley Borough Council has secured funding to undertake significant improvement works to the route between the town centre and Turf Moor (Burnley Football Club's stadium).
As such, the Authority's Highways Service requires a Contractor to provide the labour for laying paving on a specially prepared 40mm sand bed carried out by the Contractor as specified by the Authority.
The Contractor is to lay the paving as specified in the NEC4 ECSC, liaising with the Authority's operational site engineer within the established Town 2 Turf scheme works programme.
The Contractor is also required to lay paving on bedding mortar and applya primer carried out by the Contractor as specified by the Client.
The laying of paving by the Contractor includes laying of paving in recessed utility covers of various sizes.
