The brief

The Borough Council of Calderdale invites you to submit a Quote for Mobility Services.

The service is for the hire of electric mobility scooters and wheelchairs to people accessing Halifax town centre, and for Calderdale residents to use in their local community and for short periods of time for use on holidays.

The service will operate a 'meet and greet' service for people unable to access the town centre premises.

People will be able to request to be met with the equipment at a location of their choice within Halifax Town Centre e.g. bus station or car park and have the equipment collected once they have finished with it The service will be centrally located in Halifax town centre and operate Monday to Saturday.

The opening times will be reviewed on a regular basis to ensure they meet the needs of the service users whilst operating within safe practice for availability of staff and volunteers and subject to weather conditions.

The service is available to all adults aged 50+ with mobility difficulties requiring the use of the mobility scooters or wheelchairs subject to assessment.
