The brief

Norfolk and Suffolk are among the most water stressed areas of the country and have a high proportion of the country's water dependent priority habitats such as Alkaline Fens.

A consistent evidence-based approach to water resource and quality management at ecohydrological scales is required to protect and restore these habitats.

This contract is one of a series to provide up to date ecohydrological function and pressure assessments for SSSI wetland sites across Norfolk and Suffolk.

Desk based work should start as soon as possible, with field work anticipated predominantly in 2024.

Final reports should be submitted by 31st January 2025.
