The brief

Bracknell Forest Council and West Berkshire Council are jointly seeking imaginative responses to providing occupational health services to their 9,000 employees working in a wide variety of roles across Bracknell Forest and West Berkshire.

As a productive and healthy workforce is absolutely essential, this service is a critical business function to promote health management, prevent absence and assist employees back into the workplace.

The core functions of the service will cover the following: 1 pre-employment screening/medicals 2 sickness referrals/medical assessments 3 health surveillance and screening 4 immunisations/vaccinations 5 general health guidance and advice 6 health promotions While the tender is being conducted jointly, the successful tenderer will contract separately with the two Councils.

Any minimum criteria for performing contract: Tenderers must have systems compliant with the Council’s requirements for security.

Tenderer’s employees to be used in delivery of the Services must meet minimum requirements for professional qualification or equivalent experience.

The contract should start 1 July 2017 for an initial period of 36 months with the option to extend by two 1 year periods or one 2 year period.
