Scotland's Railway Surfacing Framework between Network Rail and one Contractor will deliver surfacing works across Scotland's Railway.

The Contractor shall be required to respond to call outs within the below timescales: Urgent Response: Attend within 24 hours of Instruction Route Maintenance: Attend within 7 days of Instruction Programmed: As stated in Contract Order Key activities include for but are not limited to: • Surfacing Works • Platform cope and associated works • Minor drainage works in connection with surfacing works • Minor civil engineering works • Booking of possessions and road closures These works consist of inspection, maintenance, repair, partial or whole renewal to parts of the following categories of assets: • Station platforms • Works to carparks, footpaths and hard standings • Works to other associated Client’s or TOC property The framework shall have no committed spend however, it is estimated that there shall be approximately £39 million (including options and headroom) worth of works awarded via this contract over the lifespan of the framework.
