The Repair of Various HVAC Units, Charge Air Coolers and Associated Items including the Provision of Output Specifications

Babcock Land Defence Limited, acting as agent for the UK Ministry of Defence, intends to place a seven (7) year contract for the Repair of Various HVAC Units, Charge Air Coolers and Associated Items including the Provision of Output Specifications.

The MoD are driving to improve the quality of equipment and platform data they hold.

For this contract, we are asking industry to develop output specifications for the NSN’s contained within this requirement.

An output specification is a qualitative specification, detailing the NSN’s high-level functional and physical performance characteristics, test and inspection criteria and permissible tolerances following in-depth repair activities.

An Output Specification is not to be construed as a repair specification; which would detail how the Contractor Deliverable is to be repaired.

Prospective contractors are required to hold Quality Management System certification to ISO 9001:2015 or suitable alternative, with the appropriate scope to deliver contract requirements, issued by a Nationally Accredited Certification Body.

You will be required to provide a copy of the certificate(s) as directed by any Dynamic Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (DPQQ) or Invitation to Tender (ITT) associated with this Notice, and in any event, the winning supplier will be required to provide it for review prior to contract award.

Quantity or scope: Babcock Land Defence Ltd, acting as agent to the UK Ministry of Defence, has a potential requirement to place a seven (7) year Framework Agreement for the Repair of Various HVAC Units, Charge Air Coolers and Associated Items including the Provision of Output Specifications.

This requirement will be separated into 4 Lots.

Lots 1 and 2 pertain to the repair and provision of output specifications for Charge Air Coolers, including, but not limited to, the following NSNs: 2815995751140 Charge Air Cooler 2930998263027 Charge Air Cooler Lots 3 and 4 pertain to the repair and provision of output specifications for Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) units, including, but not limited to, the following NSNs: 2590995175561 Evaporator 4130998648352 Evaporator 4130994796494 Condenser 4130998716257 Evaporator 4130992198284 Evaporator 4130995990954 Evaporator 2590996379860 Evaporator 4130997260433 Condenser The Authority reserves the right to add associated items to the contract during its lifetime.
