The MMLe3 programme will enable the electric operation of the new bi-mode trains on the whole of the MML, from Market Harborough - Sheffield (155km and 113 structures) by delivering works for the Overhead Line Equipment (OLE) extension to Sheffield and Nottingham, route clearance (multi-discipline) to accommodate OLE extension, and increased power supply to support electric passenger services to Sheffield and Nottingham.
The market engagement exercise may or may not progress to subsequent engagement stages including but not limited to consultation questionnaires, workshops and testing of principles.
There is no guarantee the market engagement will progress into a procurement event, and participation in this market engagement process will not support or hinder supply chain involvement in any future possible procurement event related to MMLe3.
