Rutland County Council is intending to procure its Grounds Maintenance and Forestry Services in the course of 2022 by further competition via YPO 881 Grounds Maintenance Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS).
Timetable The intention is to launch the further competition in February 2022, award by no later than December and for the contract to commence April 2023.
Decision Please note: the start date of the further competition is subject Council decision in early December.
Whilst its anticipated that the procurement will commence February 2022, it's possible the project could be postponed until a later date.
The commencement date of the contract may also be pushed back as a result.
Requirements The Council's GM requirements include grass cutting, maintaining hedges, shrubs and borders and other grounds maintenance tasks typical of a local authority.
The Council's Forestry requirements include planned, reactive and specialist arboricultural services, including responding to emergency tree falls.

Signing up to the DPS Suppliers must be signed up to the DPS before they can be invited to participate in a further competition.
The on-boarding process to the DPS is relatively swift and similar to the first stage of a tender.
It is concerned with regulatory compliance and meeting specified minimum standards for the sector in question.
