The brief

The Cardiac Division at Manchester University Hospital NHS Trust has five (5) Cath labs at Wythenshawe Hospital (3 x Coronary/Structural and 2 x Electrophysiological) currently provided as part of a 10 year Cardiac Cath Lab Managed Service contract, as well as use of a hybrid theatre that will be used from 1st August 2022 (initially for Electrophysiology).

The Division will also manage 3 recently refurbished Cath labs at Manchester Royal Infirmary, undertaking CRM and interventional procedures.

The Wythenshawe Hospital managed service contract is due to expire in 2023 so the Trust is currently considering options for service provision beyond this date.

The output of this preliminary market consultation process may be used in the planning of a replacement contract or to understand how a future provision of services might be delivered.

The MRI Cath Labs are outside of the scope of the existing contract, however, the Trust would like to consider inclusion in any new contract.

Please contact lucy.bailey@mft.nhs.uk to obtain a copy of the Preliminary Market Consultation Questionnaire.

Suppliers are invited to populate the questionnaire (Appendix A) and return to lucy.bailey@mft.nhs.uk no later than 12:00 Tuesday 21st June 2022.

Your response to this questionnaire is voluntary.

Completion of Appendix A will in no way obligate your organisation to submit a bid during any future related procurement process and, conversely, failing to complete this questionnaire will in no way preclude your organisation from participating in a future procurement process.
