Synopsis: This procurement relates to the establishment of a National Facility for Ultra High Field ("UHF") Magnetic Resonance Imaging ("MRI") to be located at the Sir Peter Mansfield Imaging Centre at the University of Nottingham.
The tender is divided into three lots; Lot 1 – Magnet, Lot 2 – Gradient Coil Set, and Lot 3 – Scanner Back-End.
Since Lots 1-3 will need to be integrated to form the UHF scanner, cooperation among the appointed suppliers is critical to the success of the awards.
Further development will be required for the Passive Shielding and RF Cabin which will be tendered later in the process when the magnet design is finalised.
