The brief

This Service Specification sets out the requirements to deliver a North Wales Service User and Carer Involvement Service for people with personal experience, either as a service user or carer, of substance misuse issues.

The service will include a single point of access for all involvement across North Wales; this will ensure equity across the region and ensure meaningful involvement in all Substance Misuse Statutory and Third Sector Provider Services.

It will provide good value for money in terms of cost, quality and reach of the service, ensuring that all stakeholders are signed up to, and working within, one Service User and Carer Involvement Charter which lays out consistent principles and outcomes.

A key focuses for the provider will be the Welsh Government Substance Misuse Delivery Plan and identifying work areas in need of development through continued engagement and involvement with Service users, carers, and providers.

The Service provider will have ownership and responsibility for monitoring and holding Support Team and Delivery Plan Implementation Group.partners to account against the delivery and progress towards the Welsh Government Substance Misuse Delivery Plan, with support from the North Wales Area Planning Board (APB)
