Urgent Access Hub Reading Prior Information Notice<br/><br/>NHS Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West ICB is looking to commission a Same Day Urgent Access Hub in Reading.<br/><br/>The aim of the service is to improve same day access in Berkshire West through the provision of a primary care-led service located at Royal Berkshire Hospital.
The service will provide a seamless transition between in and out of hours services and treat patients directed to the service from multiple sources including NHS 111 services, referral from primary care, self-presenters and from the Emergency Department at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.
The level of clinical service provided will be comparable to the service received by patients attending general practice primary care settings.

The ICB is seeking the views of healthcare providers for this service using a market engagement questionnaire.
A Draft Specification is available on the Atamis portal, with a questionnaire for interested potential bidders to complete, aimed at obtaining the views of prospective healthcare providers.
This process will enable the ICB to better understand the potential deliverability of a service of this nature as part of an ongoing options appraisal and assessment.<br/><br/>This process is being managed by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) on behalf of the Commissioners.
