The brief

Kirklees Council is looking to secure a new supplier for professional, expert fire risk assessment services to comply with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Section 156 of the Building Safety Act and the Housing Act 2004, under which, Kirklees Council has a statutory duty to regularly assess and take precautions to prevent the risk of fire in relation to life safety.

In addition, it will advise on general fire precautions that ensure, as far as reasonably practicable, the safety of all relevant persons, and that the premises are safe from fire and meet the requirements of the RRO.

The Contract is anticipated to commence in October 2024 and the programme will be delivered over a 12-month period.
