Waste & Resources Action Programme
Plastic Film Collections Study
We are running plastic film collection trials with two councils – Swansea and Vale of Glamorgan.
As part of the trials, we are looking at the options for where to send the plastic material.
This is a cost that will be borne by WRAP – funded by our WG grant.
There are a limited number of off takers that are able to process the material and we will be very cautious about who we use as there are examples of their being issues with companies going into administration.
WG have indicated for example that their strong preference is for the material to be processed in the UK.
