The Scope of the service is likely to include: • Atherstone Leisure Centre (a new replacement centre of the existing Atherstone Leisure Complex) • Polesworth Sports Centre - sports hall - joint use facility owned by the school • Polesworth Fitness Hub • Coleshill Leisure Centre – NWBC owned but part-used by Coleshill school • The Queen Elizabeth Academy – sports hall and 3G pitch – joint use facilities owned by the Academy The objective of the procurement will be to secure a most advantageous tender to achieve the Authority’s strategic outcomes whilst maximising the payment to the Authority.
A RIBA stage 1 report on a replacement facility In Atherstone has been presented to the Authority for consideration, and it is planned that a new Centre will be opened in 2028.
It is anticipated the Contract will commence Summer 2026, for the Operator to manage the existing facilities and input into the finishes and fixtures of the new Leisure Centre.
