The brief

West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) is exploring the option of procuring a Managed Security Operations Centre (MSOC).

As cyber threats become more advanced, WMCA recognises the need to enhance its monitoring and response capabilities.

WMCA require a future SOC service that not only reacts to alerts but also provides proactive threat hunting, greater visibility of risks and actionable guidance on how to improve our security posture.

Through conducting this pre-market engagement, WMCA is seeking to gain a greater understanding of suppliers within this market who would be interested in responding to the upcoming release of WMCA’s specification of requirements.

Please also note that this is not a formal PQQ or expression of interest in a tender exercise.

This market engagement is an early step to help us shape our approach before moving into the procurement stage.

The WMCA will not be liable for costs incurred by any interested party participating in this exercise.

WMCA intend to circulate a questionnaire through Bravo (WMCA e-tendering portal), allowing you to provide more information about your interest and comment on the proposed approach.
