The brief

This procurement covers responsive repairs and property refurbishment, management of a regeneration programme of capital investment works, compliance services and grounds maintenance to Service Family Accommodation throughout the UK owned and managed by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation.

DIO is exploring disaggregating these requirements into multiple separate contracts, in particular separating Planned Works from Repairs and Maintenance." The Authority is keen to engage with providers with a solid background in delivering similar repairs and maintenance contracts for public sector landlords with a strong customer and safety focus, who are able to work collaboratively with the Authority to deliver a first in class service.

The Contracting Authority is undertaking preliminary market engagement in accordance with section 16 of the Procurement Act 2023.

The purpose of the engagement is to inform the development of the Authority's requirements, its procurement strategy and future tender documentation.

This notice is published under section 17 of the Act and Regulation 17 of the Procurement Regulations 2024.

The engagement will be conducted by way of an on-line questionnaire, supplemented with a briefing session.

There will be two sessions available, one of the 22nd July and one on the 28th July 2026.

Suppliers only need to attend one session.

The Authority may contact providers who submit a completed questionnaire should it be necessary to clarify their response or raise any questions arising in order to ensure a fulsome exercise can be conducted.

The objectives of the exercise are to analyse the responses from the market, take their views into account when designing the procurement strategy and ensure that any barriers to suppliers intending to bid for the works and services are removed.
