Bangor University is seeking suitably qualified suppliers for the provision of bus, coach and executive coach hire services, all with a driver, to meet the University’s ongoing transport requirements.
These services will support a range of activities including, but not limited to, open days, field trips, and airport transfers.
Pickup and drop-off locations will be across Bangor University campuses in Bangor, Menai Bridge, and Wrexham as well as other locations across North Wales.
The primary objective of the Contract is to ensure the reliable delivery of passenger transport services through the provision of accessible vehicles and suitably qualified drivers, with all vehicles fully compliant and appropriate for access to all specified University sites.
The University intends to award a sole supplier for this contract.
Required Vehicle Capabilities: The operator must be able to supply, as a minimum, the following vehicle categories upon request: 3+ Super Coaches High‑capacity vehicles accommodating 70 or more seats coaches with driver for one occasion/trip.
5+ Standard Coaches Vehicles accommodating 40 or more seat coaches with driver for one occasion/trip.
4+ Executive Travel Coaches Higher specification vehicles accommodating 25 or more seat coaches with driver for one occasion/trip.
The University would like to understand the level of interest in the market for Bus & Coach Travel services therefore are inviting any interested Organisations to submit an expression of interest to this early opportunity notice.
The expected date for release of the tender notice will be approx.
15th July 2026.
