The brief

Gateshead Council has acquired c.40ha of land at South Farm, Garesfield including 6ha of Huntley Gill Ancient Semi-Natural Woodland, and approximately 34ha of rough grazing pasture.

This is to be converted to new native broadleaf woodland which will buffer and protect Huntley Gill, while providing further value for biodiversity, amenity, and carbon sequestration, whilst being resilient to climate change and pests and diseases.

We aim to provide opportunities for meaningful community participation.

The appointed contractor should be willing to support a specialist engagement provider by providing trees and accessories on planting days and inspecting the quality of planting after the event.

The procurement involves the first winter season of planting, and three subsequent years of beat ups and summer maintenance.

What this notice demands of you

1 named, none in explicit obligation language. Each one is quoted from the notice.

Matched against the notice text, so this is a floor — the tender pack will demand things the notice never mentions. “Says must” means the quoted sentence itself used obligation language; anything ambiguous is left as a mention.
