The brief

Cambridgeshire County Council's Traffic Management Centre (TMC) require a suitably qualified and experienced contractor for the provision of maintenance, supply, installation, transmission, and cloud hosting services for its traffic and flood monitoring CCTV camera network.

The TMC acts as a front-line communication tool, actively monitoring Cambridgeshire's highway network for congestion caused by road works, incidents, accidents, events, or adverse weather.

This enables timely warnings and advice to motorists, partners, and stakeholders.

The current CCTV network comprises 25 live monitoring locations across the county.

Cameras are mounted on lighting columns or traffic signals, drawing power directly from these sources.

The units in operation are Hikvision DS-2DE4A425IW-DE (B) 4 MP 25× Network IR PTZ cameras.

The TMC operates Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 6:00pm and is not a 24/7 CCTV control room.
