Forensic Collision Investigators attend all fatal and many of the most serious road collisions, where they conduct a forensic investigation and prepare technical report(s) as necessary, for criminal, Coronial and civil courts.
This area of work is overseen by the Forensic Science Regulator, who is continuing to roll out accreditation requirements of all scientific processes, including that of collision investigation.
Essential training and competency is integral to the ISO 17020 accreditation process that the Forensic Collision Reconstruction Unit must comply with.
Awarded via GMP's exemption process as per GMP Contract Standing Orders.
