Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH) is seeking to procure a managed service for the provision of blood transfusion analysers and associated services across its hospital sites.
The anticipated scope of the managed service will be delivered across the John Radcliffe Hospital (Oxford) and Horton General Hospital (Banbury), supporting a 24/7, 365-day blood transfusion laboratory service.
The proposed procurement will be awarded as a Managed Service Contract (MSC) and is planned to include, but not be limited to: Supply, installation and commissioning of automated blood transfusion analysers Provision of all reagents, consumables, controls and calibrators Full repair, maintenance and technical support services Integration with existing Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) Staff training, competency support and ongoing technical assistance The solutions aim is to provide a resilient and high-availability service, including redundancy arrangements to ensure continuity of service in the event of equipment failure.
There must be appropriate provision across the network to support both routine and urgent (STAT) testing.
The estimated total contract value is approximately £1,650,000 (excluding VAT) over a contract term of 5 years.
The procurement will be conducted in accordance with the Procurement Act 2023.
The Contracting Authority reserves the right to award this as a single contract.
