WDC - Electric vehicle charge points for public car parks
The procurement contact named on the official notice.
This is a large award for Engineering & Architecture — above three-quarters of comparable contracts. Based on 33,646 valued Engineering & Architecture tenders in our corpus.
Warwick District Council and Stratford-On Avon councils have a significant portfolio of car parks which present an ideal space for EV Chargepoints (EVCPs) and would like to appoint a single provider to install, manage and maintain EVCPs of appropriate speeds across the estate to increase the availability of public chargepoints and council fleet vehicle chargepoints.
Charge Point Operators (CPOs) are invited to submit a tender to install and manage EVCPs on a concession basis, paying a flat fee for each space per year.
The tender should be completed on the basis of the number of EVCPs you will install within the first phase of the project, which is expected to take no longer than 24 months.
Our expectation is that the appointed CPO will install at least the number of charge points in the 2025 modelling provided in Cenex’s car park information sheet (Appendix 2, columns K-M).
The appointed provider will be given the opportunity to expand the number of spaces in any car park beyond the number bid for in this tender if demand shows that more EVCPs are required in that location.
Warwick District Council (WDC) and Stratford-On-Avon District Council’s (SDC) Climate Change Teams are responsible for decarbonisation projects in each of the council’s areas, these teams will conduct the tender and manage the rollout/installation phase.
WDC and SDC’s car parking teams – responsible for management of the car parks owned by each council, these teams will be responsible for the ongoing contract management following installation of each EV chargepoint.
Duration of the Contract: The contract will be for a period of 15 years plus an optional extension of one year at Councils’ discretion.
Value of contract*: The Contract Value is approximately £645,000 per 12 month period
