The brief

Kent community health NHS foundation trust provides a range of community service interventions/treatments to patients in their own homes, this includes patients who due to health complications have restricted mobility, or are bed bound, preventing them from transferring safely from bed to chair or bed to bed.

To optimise the care provided to these patients there is a requirement to provide medical beds and mattresses to ensure that the patient remains safe during this period of care, including support to help the clinicians, patient and family manage in end of life care.

The aim of this procurement is to procure a provider who can attend independently to provide a service for the safe transfer of patients, either bed bound or those with restricted mobility preventing the patient from transferring safely, within their own home setting.

This will enable delivery of the following requirements: - Transfer of patient from current bed to an alternative bed/mattress in same room - Transfer of patient to another room on the same floor - Transfer of patient to a different floor in their home
