The brief

Acivico Building Consultancy Ltd on behalf of Birmingham City Council invites tenders for the demolition of Prefabricated Building at Hollyfield Primary School, Hollyfield Road, Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham B75 7SG.

The works comprise of the demolition, general site clearance, removal of asbestos containing materials and accommodation works comprising of fencing and statement of hardstanding.

The site must be well secured by use of appropriate fencing during the contract.

The contract will be for a duration of 5 weeks commencing 24th July 2023.

The contract will be awarded to a single supplier.

The Council will be using its free to use e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and potential suppliers must register with the system to be able to express an interest.

Requests to participate must be by way of completion and return of the tender documentation no later than 12 noon on Friday 16 June 2023 using the Supplier Portal.

Site Visits: It is recommended that potential suppliers may wish to undertake a site visit to ascertain the existing conditions that could affect the demolition process and make sure that their tender price is sufficient to carry out the project safely.

It is however a recommendation not a condition of the tender, therefore and if a potential supplier wishes to visit the site then they should read the following information and act on it accordingly.

Open morning has been assigned to view the site and building which will take place on Friday 9th June 2023 between 9:00am and 10:00am.

Contractors who wish to view the site must register their intentions by the correspondence function on the Council's Intend Portal by 4pm - Wednesday 7 June 2023.

THERE WILL BE NO FURTHER OPPORTUNITY TO INTERNALLY INSPECT THE SITE.

The potential supplier's representatives will be responsible for providing their own PPE and should give consideration on how they decide to travel to site and ensuring the social distancing requirements wherever possible.

Parking facilities are available on site, and on road parking.

The potential supplier's representatives must also leave the site promptly after their visit and any queries following on from the site visit must be directed via the portal.
