Welsh Government has confirmed their commitment to a lung cancer screening programme in Wales.
This follows a positive recommendation from the UK National Screening Committee (endorsed by the Wales Screening Committee), a successful pilot of lung cancer screening in the North Rhondda area and the completion of a scoping report by Public Health Wales setting out an assessment of the available evidence and, from this, a recommended pathway and delivery model.
