The purpose of the Water Network and Demand Consultancy framework is to support in the investigation, analysis and understanding of demand for water in the region supplied by United Utilities Water (UUW), as well as surrounding regions.

Demand for water is made up of four main components: 1.
Household (domestic) customer consumption/usage, known as “household consumption”; 2.
Non-household (commercial and industrial) customer consumption/usage, known as “non-household consumption”; 3.
Leakage; and 4.
Any other uses of water, such as water taken unbilled, known as “minor components”.
