The brief

The University of Plymouth is seeking expressions of interest for a potential opportunity to work with us on a 5- month project to enhance the University website.

The University has some in- house development expertise and is looking to supplement that with external resource from a partner.

The proposed website refresh focuses on three core areas of enhancement, all of which support the vision for a web presence that showcases the University and its 2030 objectives: • Enhanced navigation and dynamic content • Quality of content and alignment to the University's 2030 Strategy • Easy interaction, conversation and enquiry - increasing the sense of engagement with our audiences Our requirement is to establish an Agile development team for 12 sprints (2 weeks per sprint), with developers experienced in Ruby on Rails.

This team will supplement the University development staff to enable an increase in velocity for this fast-paced project.

We anticipate the level of resourcing required to average at 2-3 developers for the duration of the project.

Team size could either be constant for the full duration of the project, or scaled to increase capacity over a period of time.

There is a requirement for the first two sprints to be conducted on site in Plymouth, but after that we are open to supporting remote working.

It is essential that suppliers have the capacity to mobilise within the next 2 weeks, to commence the project on Monday 2nd March.

The upper spend limit will be £150k.

Please e mail procurement@plymouth.ac.uk to show an expression of Interest.
