The contract is for services to support Adult's and Children's Social Workers to improve their understanding and approach to accessing CHC and CC funding for health needs.
A new contract will support the Council and the CHC/CC Governance Board to improve strategic interface between the ICB (commissioners for CHC and CC) and the Council, with the development of enduring policies and procedures, and highly specialist support for legal challenges in relation to accessing this funding.
The contract will build and embed training and knowledge to support our ability to access ICB funding post contract completion, and continue with existing and potential legal challenges.
The Council is seeking assistance and advice in recovery of funding where CHC or CC eligibility has been established.
Social Workers require training in this area to enable effective input to the assessments carried out by the ICB.
The contract period shall be 12 months with the option to extend up to a further 12 months, in increments of 6 months (i.e.
12 months + 6 months + 6 months).
