The brief

Buckinghamshire County Council wishes to commission for the co-ordination and delivery of a Building Based Accommodation Support Service.

The service will be split into two geographical lots, one in Aylesbury and one in High Wycombe.

The aim is to provide a supportive, empowering and non-judgemental service where service users are given the opportunity to make informed choices and develop life skills.

The service should enable service users to achieve a level of independence appropriate to their choices, abilities and needs.

The successful provider will be expected to work in partnership with health and social care service and the voluntary and community sector to prevent homelessness and events leading to homelessness and reduce factors leading to repeated homelessness.

The contract start date is 1st September 2018.

The contract term is 1 year with the option to extend for 1 further year.

The budget for this service is £198,000.

Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (TUPE) may apply to this contract.
