The brief

The BBC, through its Aurora Programme, is planning to undertake a procurement process for the provision of a range of Enterprise ICT and Hosting Services.

This will consist of three services, End User Compute, Hosting Platforms and Application Services, and a Technology Service Desk which will reside across all of the formed towers established by the Aurora Programme.

The BBC is implementing a 'Tower Model' co-ordinated by an internal Service Operation Management (SOM) organisation.

The successful supplier shall be expected to co-operate with the BBC, its commercial and service management functions and the BBC's other suppliers in this Tower Model and across the organisation.

The BBC's requirement for Enterprise ICT Services is intended to include: Technology Service Desk User Tools Collaboration Unified Communications Fixed Line Telephony Mobile Carrier Services Security and Identity Services EICT SaaS Management Services Device Management Services Hardware and Software Provisioning The BBC's requirement for Hosting Platforms and Applications Services is intended to include: Applications Management Hosting Infrastructure Services Networking Services Cloud Management Technical Accommodation The BBC intends to appoint a single contracting entity for an initial period of 5 years.

The contract may be extended at the BBC's discretion.

The estimated range below is based on a period of 8 years.

The purpose of this PIN is: (a) to provide advance notice that the BBC is intending to undertake a procurement process to set up a new contract for the provision of Enterprise ICT and Hosting Services, with an estimated date of publication of a Contract Notice in April 2016; and (b) to invite suitably experienced and capable suppliers to attend a Market Warming event hosted by the BBC.

The Market Warming event will take place on Monday 18th April 2016, between 13:00 and 14:30, at New Broadcasting House, London W1.

Suppliers are required to register attendance using the following link: https://bbc.bravosolution.co.uk and to 'view tender opportunities or by going to PQQ:pqq_29703_Market Warming Event - Aurora Programme: Enterprise ICT and Hosting if already pre-registered on the Bravo Solutions platform.

The deadline for registering is Monday 11th April 2016.

Please note that spaces will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and are restricted to 1 per organisation.
