Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVAs) are expected to provide a holistic service that ensures victims/survivors of rape or sexual assault, regardless of their age, gender, disability, ethnicity or sexual orientation receive timely and appropriate practical and emotional support in a safe, secure and confidential environment.

The service must be flexible, easily accessible, tailored to the needs of the individual and will play a vital role in meeting the needs of victims/survivors.

It is essential that there is effective integrated working across all partners involved in delivering related services.
