The brief

The Faculty of Medicine at University of Southampton (UoS) has a very active research community with more than 450 members of academic staff.

The School of Clinical and Experimental Sciences (CES) is a large part of the faculty, with research that spans numerous clinical areas: infectious diseases and diseases that affect the central nervous system, eyes, GI tract, joints, liver, lungs, skin and urogenital tract.

Also, CES focuses on important common chronic conditions related to several different organs and functions (lungs, gut, skin, brain, joints, etc.) The current machine is in need of replacement, and the University wishes to source a replacement Quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction (QPCR) machine.
