Birmingham City Council requires a supplier for the supply and maintenance of 13 e-cargo bikes and associated storage boxes, 7 e-cargo trikes, and associated accessories which include; 35 helmets, 40 locks, 40 lights and 20 bells.
This contract will be for a period of 3 years with an anticipated start date of October 2020 and is required to support a sustainable freight delivery scheme which will be integrated with wider measures included in the Birmingham Transport Plan, such as the Clean Air Zone (CAZ) to support the use of cleaner alternatives to diesel or petrol delivery vans.
The supplier should have expertise/ knowledge in maintaining e-cargo bikes/ trikes as well as an appropriate range of e-cargo bike/trike models.
The Council will be using its free to use e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and potential suppliers must register with the system to be able to express an interest.
