Black Country Strategy Consultation Database Sandwell MBC - Requirement for a Black Country Strategy Consultation Database The four Black Country local planning authorities of Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton, are seeking to commission a Consultation Database to support forthcoming consultation stages in the review of the Black Country Core Strategy.

Consultation and engagement is required at all stages on the review of the Black Country Core Strategy up to submission to the Secretary of State for examination.

The timetable will take into account Central Government guidance on consultation, with the emphasis on the need to ensure that the Strategy is undertaken in an "open, inclusive and transparent way".

The first phase of formal consultation will take place in the spring of 2017 with consultation on the Issues and Options Paper.

The consultation will last for an eight week period and include a 'Call for Sites'.

During this period various statutory bodies, organisations and individuals will be invited to comment on the paper and make representations.

The Issues and Options consultation will be followed by five further stages up to adoption and the database will be used to support activities undertaken under each of the different stages.
