There are approximately 38 Fires Station sites including 5 PFI stations within the area of Cumberland and Westmorland & Furness Council's to be included in this procurement process.
The services will be divided into two lots.
Lot 1 - General & Recycling Waste Lot 2 - Confidential Waste Buildings in scope include both on call and manned Fire Stations.
Regulations require Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service to handle waste in line with Waste Hierarchy and review current practices making sure everything possible is done to reduce, re-use, re-cycle or recover waste.

Tenderers are invited to bid for one or more Lots and will be awarded on the basis of the offer that is the most economically advantageous to the Council for each individual Lot.
The proposal is to let two new Countywide contracts from 1st April 2023.
