The brief

Hammersmith and Fulham Council has committed to deliver a new Arts and Community Centre for the local residents of Sands End to be located on the current site of the park maintenance depot and Clancarty Lodge in the north western corner of South Park.

The new centre will provide a range of flexible new spaces for community use, changing rooms and WC's, a café, and a nursery within a new single storey structure totaling 760sqm.

There will be some selective demolition of existing structures, though Clancarty Lodge itself is to be retained and re-modeled as part of the new Centre.

The Council expects the successful bidder to start on site in January 2018 and works should last no longer than three months.

A plannning application for the development of Sands Ends Arts & Community Centre was submitted in October 2017 and it is proposed that a decision will be made at Planning Committee in December 2017.
