The brief

Stevenage Borough Council is looking to procure an employers agent for the delivery of the Kenilworth Close site.

This is a site with 268 units, with a 50/50 split between affordable and private rent properties.

We anticipate the build length being a total of 4 years, with the build phased over 2 sections.

Stevenage Borough Council has ambitious plans to build over 500 units over 10 years, and the Kenilworth development forms a key part of this aim.

The Council aims to provide a mixed development sites including homes for social / affordable rent as well as homes for private sale.

Part of this development will be a new independent living scheme, which the Council wishes to use as a benchmark for this type of development in the future.

Stevenage Borough Council has completed land assembly at the site already, with all necessary decants being completed also.

The development is likely to be in two phases, with the successful contractor to act as the Employers Agent and CDM co-ordinator for the Council pre, post and during the construction stage.

We require a Full EA service for: o Community centre o Over 55 and all affordable housing. o Retail units For all private housing the EA will provide an advisory service Please note the deadline for returns and allow sufficient time to make your return as late returns will not be permitted.
