The brief

Southend-on-Sea City Council are seeking tenders from suitably experienced and qualified contractors to carry out the final design and construction of a new educational building within the Blenheim Primary School site.

The building will provide special educational provision for the school's autistic students and will comprise of teaching rooms with ancillary (supporting) spaces and a secure external play area.\r \r The contract will be let to one main contractor under JCT Design and Build with Employers Requirements, Drawings, Contract Sum Analysis, Building Specification, Mechanical and Electrical Drawings and Specification, and Structural and Civil drawings and Specification.

The contractor will be expected to complete the detail design of RIBA Stages 4-7 and to complete the works by 15th August 2025.\r \r The procurement will be conducted electronically via the Council's e-tender facility Pro-Contract https://procontract.due-north.com.
